About us

Joe's On Smith was established at its present site on Smith Street, Collingwood (previously known as Jonathans). The shop has been a part of Smith Street since 1976.

Joe has had a long history with this butcher shop having served his apprenticeship and then going on to partner Jonathan for several years.

After 40 years, it is time for Joe to take over the butcher shop and make it a family business of his own. His passion to be butcher will always be in his heart. He has a huge love for every customer that walks through the door and is always striving to keep everyone happy and enjoying their  favourites while spending time with family & friends. 

Joe's sausages are renown throughout Melbourne, and are sold around Australia. Other favourites include hams, turkeys, turkey rolls, steaks and Greek lambs just to name a few.

Joe's remains a model of the very best of the butchers craft and the perfectly trimmed rib roasts or noisettes are a delight for any meat lover.
